Support Trumansburg's Main Street Project

What's the project about? You might remember the commemorative bricks and bluestones from about two years ago. Rest assured that while the MSP did face some delays during that time that we did not forget about the bricks! The MSP processed and ordered all the brick orders received between Fall 2002 and July 2006. These bricks are right now being processed by our brick engraver, Brick Markers USA. The MSP is currently offering a second opportunity to buy bricks and is still taking orders.

Commemorative bricks are still on sale to raise the community portion of a Federal grant awarded to the Village of Trumansburg to restore and create sidewalks, and to add public spaces and signage.

Brick Engraving: A standard 4”x8” brick can be engraved with 3 lines of text with a maximum of 20 characters per line. Three logos are now available for brick orders: “T” Alumnus, Main Street House and GrassRoots. If you choose a logo, it can be placed in the center leaving 2 lines of 20 characters each or to the left allowing 3 lines of 14 characters each for text. Please print your characters as you would like to see them on the brick, whether it be all uppercase or a combination of uppercase and lowercase. The laser will center each line of your message from top to bottom and from left to right. Be sure each line box does not exceed the 14 or 20 characters allowed. This includes punctuation and spaces.

Brick Pricing: Each 4”x8” commemorative brick is $35 or 3 for $100 for options one, two and three. Option 4 allows you to provide your own logo for your brick at the price of $150. If you choose this option please contact the MSP before paying the fee to see if your logo can fit a brick.

Brick Ordering and Placement: The original deadline for bricks was in the Fall 2004. Due to the long delays experienced by the MSP and the belated start of constuction the second brick deadline was on July 10th 2006. An order consisting of all the bricks received between Fall 2002 and July 10th 2006 went out in mid-July 2006 and has since begun processing. However, due to overwhelming demand, the MSP is now taking a second wave of orders! The prices and guidelines remain the same and and an official deadline is expected to come soon. This order will not go out until December 2006 or January 2007 so there is still plenty of time to get an order form and your brick! Bricks in this second wave will be most likely installed on Main Street in the summer of 2007. Please print the order form below and bring it to the Village Office with your payment.

Special Offer: Site areas are being planned with quarried stones placed with pavers and bricks around them, similar to the new library entrance. If you would like more information, please contact the MSP directly to be put in touch with the project design committee.
