After years of volunteer work and planning, the Village of Trumansburg is the proud recipient of a TEA-21 Federal Grant. The grant will pave the way for the Main Street Project's goal of making the streets safer and more accessible to pedestrians of all ages as well as to make Main Street a civic center for Village and Town residents and visitors to the area. A secondary goal of the Main Street Advisory Committee has been to create a fun and successful community project that residents of all ages can participate in and be proud of when it is finished. This is a unique opportunity for all who are interested to help to plan for safer sidewalks and to shape the Village for the twenty first century.
